Software Engineer | Google

Updated, maintained, and enhanced Google Cloud Platform – Speech-To-Text client libraries in Node, Java, Python, and C#. Developed QuickStarts, how-to and sample coding guides.
As a Cloud IoT Samples Engineer, I assist consumer developers in integrating our cloud services. I am responsible for updating client libraries, fixing issues, documenting code reviews and fixes..
  • Worked on every testing framework in the lab and made code changes that resulted in more efficient test times and results.
  • Designed and engineered from the ground up a solution for a high priority task involving physical devices effectively transmitting sensor data and handling all aspects of that communication from transmission to reception and final reporting.
  • Efficiently articulated technical, architectural challenges and proposed viable solutions.
  • Carried out feature and software testing.
  • Maintained a consistent flow of communications with other developers and feature designers.
  • Trained recently onboarded engineers on the systems, code base and procedures.

Software Development Engineer | Microsoft

Developed UWP and WPF desktop applications used to operate testing fixtures and robots in the Surface Sensors Lab.
My current role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining data acquisition automation software used to control testing platforms, fixtures, and robots. I am responsible for gathering system and hardware requirements, that in most cases, are specific to our in-lab devices and vendor equipment. I am also in charge of handling vendor API consumption, coordinating communication with vendor product engineers, and automating testing fixtures to support new Surface devices.
I am responsible for making code changes to support different and complex testing scenarios and to adapt to various form factor hardware. I am responsible for debugging, reprogramming, and documenting existing software used for Microsoft Surface Device product verification and validation.
My day to day responsibilities also include communicating verbally, and in writing through the Teams app, with product stakeholders; our team electric, hardware and software engineers; and project managers. Everyday brings a new challenge ‘and change is constant’ in our lab. My responsibility is to adapt quickly and develop solutions.
  • Carried out implementation of software components integrating hardware metering equipment.
  • Coordinated communications with third party vendors intended to manage API consumption and clarify system requirements and compatibility.
  • Designed, developed, and implemented automated testing frameworks, tools, fixtures, and services interacting with physical devices and hardware metering equipment.
  • Developed networked applications tailored to stream real time sensor data on Surface Devices.
  • Decided on client-server relationships as to what role should the devices and testing fixtures play based on specific and unique factors and other sensitive details.
  • Built processes and procedures aimed at querying data from a device’s all available sensors.
  • Proposed operational, visual, and logistic enhancements that resulted in faster and more accurate data collection.
  • Worked on every testing framework in the lab and made code changes that resulted in more efficient test times and results.

Software Engineer | London Aviation Underwriters

Carried out system migration to .NET using Visual Studio and SQL Server. Developed system applications mirrored after existing legacy Foxpro system design and business requirements.
  • Migrated legacy FoxPro code to C# code.
  • Collaborated with other developers to design and optimize code.
  • Generated documentation for all programming tasks and procedures.
  • Communicated consistently and effectively with stakeholder to develop software solutions based on user needs.
  • Generated rdlc reports from SQL and Foxpro data tables.
  • Helped to coordinate infrastructure and logistical challenges migrating from Foxpro to C#. Participated in decision making related to hardware specifications to house the newly developed software system.
  • Decided on effective methods to access data in legacy Foxpro tables using the OLEDB API and datasets.
  • Conducted software system development using an agile approach with sprint deployments averaging every two weeks.

Software Developer | Seatact Appliance Equipment

Developed and maintained ASP.NET, ADO.NET, Java applications, and SQL Server databases used in the tracking and reporting of the company’s inventory. Delivered daily technical support for networking equipment and computer systems.
  • Designed, developed and deployed software solutions for various aspects of the company's business processing.
  • Executed a refactoring front-end solution to implement n-tier architecture and object-oriented design principles, resulting in an organized, compiled code base, and dramatic decreased in defects structure.
  • Designed and created normalized databases, wrote stored procedures, and scheduling jobs using SQL Server Management Studio, ADO.NET, Visual Studio, and object-oriented programming (OOP) designs.
  • Completed a redesign of the company’s website using HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and jQuery
